Common Questions

How far in advance should I book?

Most experiences book out 2-3 weeks ahead due to our group size limits. For peak season (May-September) or weekends, we recommend booking 4-6 weeks in advance.

What if weather conditions are poor?

Safety comes first. If conditions are unsafe or trail health is compromised, we'll offer alternative dates or full refund. You'll be notified 48 hours before your scheduled hike.

Can I bring my own equipment?

Yes, as long as it meets our low-impact standards. We'll send equipment guidelines after booking. Our specialized gear is always included in the price if you prefer to use ours.

Do you accommodate dietary requirements?

Absolutely. We cater to all dietary needs including vegan, gluten-free, and allergies. Just mention requirements when booking.

What fitness level do I need?

It depends on the experience. Dawn Harmony and Mindful Mountain are suitable for most fitness levels. Summit Challenge requires good fitness and some hill-walking experience. We're happy to advise based on your situation.

Are children welcome?

Children 12+ are welcome on most experiences with parental supervision. For younger children or family groups, our Private Route Design option works best as we can tailor everything to your needs.

How do you calculate environmental impact?

We use lifecycle analysis covering transport, equipment manufacturing, food sourcing, and trail degradation metrics. Full methodology available on request—we're completely transparent about our calculations.

Can I see where my restoration contribution goes?

Yes. After your hike, you'll receive a report showing the specific conservation project your booking supported, including measurable outcomes and photographic evidence where available.

Where We Operate

Our trails span the Lake District, Peak District, Yorkshire Dales, and Northumberland. Specific routes are determined based on seasonal conditions, wildlife patterns, and trail health data.

We don't publish exact routes publicly to prevent over-use. Location details are shared with confirmed participants 48 hours before departure.
